Eddie Van Halen‘s ex-brother-in-law David Bertinelli recently said that Ed ‘sounded good’ in a phone call a couple of weeks ago, and he has now liked several tweets that appear to confirm that he is yet again fighting throat cancer. The tweets listed below are some that David liked.
David Daum tweeted, “Nothing makes me happier to hear. I hope he is ok. My heart is breaking to think he is going through so much pain.”
JCB wrote, “Thank you for a little glimpse of insight and hope. As a lifelong fan on Ed and his music I am in his corner praying he overcomes any health concerns for Wolf, Al and his entire family.”
Mitch’s Brew said, “That IS great news and thanks for posting, Mr. Bertinelli. Sending our well-wishes to Eddie and his family!”
Van Halen Rising chimed in, “That’s great news David. Sending the best. Everyone wants to see Ed back to 100% ❤️.”
David Bertinelli had previously tweeted, “I spoke to Ed less than 2 weeks ago and he sounded good; the same as I have known for over 30 years. He also sent me a text Thursday thanking my son for the Thank You picture he had drawn for guitar Ed donated to the school.”
You can go to OralCancerFoundation.org to find out how you can help donate to find cures to oral cancers. Their website wrote, “Founded by an oral cancer survivor, Brian R. Hill, the foundation’s goals are supported by a Scientific Advisory Board composed of leading cancer authorities from varied medical and dental specialties, drawn from premier cancer treatment, research, and educational institutions in the US. The foundation has a separate Board of Advisors composed of individuals with experience in philanthropic and cause related issues, many of whom are heads of large non-profits themselves. OCF continues to add to these boards, and its board of directors.
In 2008 The Bruce Paltrow Fund was added to OCF as a collaborative effort between the Paltrow family represented by Ms. Blythe Danner (Paltrow), Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Paltrow and the Oral Cancer Foundation. The Paltrow fund has specific goals to aid in fund raising and public outreach efforts. The goals reflect the humanitarian nature of Director Producer Bruce Paltrow who was lost to oral cancer in 2002.”
